C₂Sense was founded on the vision of realizing a highly sensitive, selective, and cost-effective ethylene sensor, to help tackle the rampant food waste problem present throughout the world. Evidence of our focus on ethylene (C₂H₄) is found in our namesake, C₂Sense. Although never losing efficacy in ethylene and fruit ripeness detection, our mission soon expanded into the sensing of other gases relevant to food and agriculture. In particular, the company is actively pursuing a sensor for meat spoilage detection in smart packaging. Over time, C₂Sense has continued to expand the applicability of the sensors to other industries made possible by a versatile sensing platform.
