Gradiant Energy Services Appoints Danny Jimenez as Chief Executive Officer
DENVER–(Business Wire)–Gradiant Energy Services (“GES”), a provider of integrated water management solutions to the energy industry, announced today that Danny Jimenez has been named Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Jimenez will lead the company from its new headquarters in Denver, Colorado, overseeing the strategic direction and growth of GES. GES was recently structured and capitalized as a standalone entity owned by its original parent company, Gradiant Corporation based in Boston (“Gradiant”), and by Turnbridge Capital, an energy-focused private equity firm based in Texas.
“We are thrilled to welcome Danny to the Gradiant family. His extensive experience both in the field and in executive leadership roles will help ensure we’re successfully meeting the full range of our customers’ water needs,” said Anurag Bajpayee, Chairman and CEO of Gradiant. “His understanding of water as one of industry’s most pressing challenges combined with his deep commitment to our mission made him the perfect candidate to lead and grow GES.”
With his global energy experience, Mr. Jimenez brings with him in-depth knowledge of oilfield services operations, and under his leadership, GES will seek to expand its offerings to oil and gas operators needing safe, economic, environmental and efficient treatment, reuse and recycle of water resources in the U.S.
“I am honored to serve as Gradiant Energy Services’ CEO. After many years in the oilfield services business, I am excited to have the opportunity to put such game-changing technologies to work for customers,” said Mr. Jimenez. “By leveraging Gradiant’s award-winning technology portfolio, we are able to serve as a single-source solutions provider for our customers’ water needs. In fact, our services are not only robust and effective – they benefit both the bottom line and the environment.”
Mr. Jimenez has held various leadership and operational roles at privately held and publicly traded oilfield services company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Universidad Simón Bolívar, a master’s degree in international political economy of resources from the Colorado School of Mines and a Master of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
GES’ technologies allow for the cost effective treatment of any influent water quality and produce any desired level of effluent water quality. Many GES projects are in the booming Permian Basin region, but GES supports oil and gas companies throughout the U.S., particularly those facing water scarcity, disposal restrictions and high transportation costs. The company’s robust portfolio of treatment solutions meets a wide range of needs from bacteria disinfection and clean brine to evaporation and desalination.
The company – which has more than three years of successful application of award-winning technologies in the Permian Basin and Marcellus Shale, as part of parent company Gradiant – became a subsidiary in September 2016. The new structure allows GES to build on its success specific to the oil and gas industry, while Gradiant focuses on continually innovating water treatment technologies that support GES as well as other industrial applications.
