Iron Smoke – Iron Smoke Distillery Racks Up 11 Medals In Four Competitions

Fairport-based Iron Smoke Distillery LLC has won 11 medals in four competitions in the past four weeks, officials said. 

The company is producing a combined 6,000 bottles of Iron Smoke Whiskey, Iron Smoke Bourbon and Rattlesnake Rosie’s Apple Pie Whiskey per month.

“We take great pride in crafting the finest whiskeys and bourbons around, using all locally sourced ingredients, so we’re thrilled to have our efforts recognized in this way and are extremely proud of our Master Distiller, Drew Wescott and the entire team,” said Tommy Brunett, Iron Smoke’s president and co-founder, in a statement. “We couldn’t do it without the partnership of our local suppliers, distributors and customers, and we thank them for their support.”

Ingredients are locally sourced from area farms, officials said.

Rattlesnake Rosie’s Apple Pie Whiskey awards: 

• Whiskey/Bourbon categories – San Francisco World Spirits Competition (Bronze);North American Bourbon Whiskey Competition (Silver); Denver International Spirits Competition (Bronze); American Craft Spirits Awards (Bronze) 

• Packaging and design categories – San Francisco World Spirits Competition (Bronze) ; Denver International Spirits Competition (Gold)

Iron Smoke Whiskey has been in operation for four years on Parce Avenue in Fairport.
