Ubiquitous Energy-Miles Barr Discusses Ubiquitous Energy at 2016 Asian Leadership Conference
Ubiquitous Energy CEO Miles Barr joined fellow MIT entrepreneurs along with a high-profile list of guest speakers at this week’s Asian Leadership Conference. Hosted by Korea’s national daily news service Chosunilbo. ALC brought together global leaders to discuss solutions for the pressing issues facing Asia today.
The conference theme this year was “Asia Tomorrow: Innovation 4.0″ and called for ‘creative destruction’ not only in the corporate sector but from governments as well. Barr’s presentation of Ubiquitous Energy’s vision for using built infrastructure to host solar harvesting resources found a welcome reception as Asian countries continue to push forward with the implementation of high-tech clean energy innovations.
In an effort to prepare for a carbon-constrained future, energy policy and business leaders were particularly interested in the possibility of applying Ubiquitous Energy’s ClearView Power technology to Asian urban centers. As Barr put it, “Encouraging energy harvesting where it’s most needed and without impacting the surfaces on which it’s applied makes sense from an energy policy standpoint. That is the value proposition for ClearView Power.”
